PRESCHOOL

3 Year Old Child - Tuesday & Thursday 8:00AM to 11:00AM

Our Preschool class for the three-year-old child meets two days a week, 3 hours per day. Child must be potty trained and must turn 3 by June. Our preschool class is designed as an introduction for the child to a group setting. Children participate in age-appropriate activities, such as unstructured hands-on play, group story-time and weekly themed activities. Basic concepts are an important foundation for your child to grow during the preschool years.

In our preschool class your child will learn:

* Colors

* Shapes

* Sharing with others

* Mommy leaves, Mommy comes back

* Sitting for a limited time (floor & child size chairs at table)

* Listening skills & more!

Mastering these in preschool will give your child a strong foundation for their next year in Pre-K. Children who participate in our preschool class automatically have priority for a spot in our Pre-K class for the next school year.

Children are always encouraged to learn through play! We make school FUN!

Pre-K

4 Year Old Child -  Monday, Wednesday & Friday 8:00AM to 11:00AM

Our Pre-K class for the four-year-old child meets three days a week, 3 hours per day. Pre-K is designed to help children progress in a variety of skills, to become socially aware and responsible for themselves and to create a love of learning. Our class is designed as a learning setting, with 20 minutes of free play, 30-40 minute at carpet/circle time and 40-60 minutes table rotation time. We have a 20-30 minute time frame of outside play (weather permitting).  Children participate in age-appropriate activities, such as unstructured hands-on play, group story time, and themed activities. We agree with Charlotte Mason's Method that education is three-pronged: “Education is an Atmosphere, (child’s surroundings) a Discipline, (child’s discipline of good habits) and a Life (applies to academics).” This method is an integral part of our lesson plans for all classes along with our proven methods for teaching the alphabet, phonics, numbers, handwriting, shapes & colors through "Handwriting Without Tears" & "Zoo-Phonics". These curriculums have proven to be successful as it grows with the child in each class, preschool thru kindergarten! "HWT" & "Zoo-Phonics" curriculum teaches the basic concept skills and learning readiness that every pre-k child needs to master before entering kindergarten.

Child must turns 4 by September 1st, to qualify for our "Pre-K" class.

Our kindergarten enrichment class focuses on creating an environment that continues to encourage a deep love of learning. Our teachers bring a wealth of experience, creativity, and fun to their classroom as they strive to develop academic and personal growth within each student.

Our goal is to meet the needs of each student!

Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 11:30AM to 2:30PM

Kindergarten Enrichment class is a continued program to our pre-k program, and is an important step for young children. It provides the opportunity to learn and practice social, emotional, problem-solving, and the skills to learn to study, which are skills your student will use throughout his/her educational journey. Our class is structured so that we have 45 minutes of language 3 times pre week, 45 minutes of math 3 times per week and 30-45 minutes of a combination of science/art/social studies 3 times per week. Our main focus in our enrichment class is to build critical skills in reading and math traditional benchmarks, without putting a lot of pressure on the student. We want to create a love of learning environment.

All of this is taught in a gentle, natural, and enjoyable way for children.

Science/Art/Social Studies-

Our science/art/social studies is a fun and unique way to teach kids all while in the kitchen. Celebrating different cultures & cuisines with a twice a month cooking club! We explore different languages, geography, and traditions through cooking. For example, we  roll our own sushi, make homemade teriyaki sauce, and learn to stir-fry while learning all about the country Japan! We don't forget our themed holiday art projects either! We get our hands dirty all while learning!
